About us

Health Screening NZ have developed the CardiAction Heart & Artery Screening Service – a world leading preventative screening to identify early signs of cardiovascular disease.

We are growing our team to provide Heart Screeners throughout community pharmacies where the screening takes place. Each appointment lasts 20-minutes and includes taking the pulse wave analysis test, explaining the results to the client and also educating them in easy-to-follow lifestyle advice to reduce their risk of cardiovascular disease.

What you’ll do

As a Health & Wellbeing Screener, your role is multifaceted:

  1. Provide the CardiAction Screening Service in partner pharmacies in a set radius based upon your location – and possibly further afield.

  2. Help HSNZ to maximise the delivery of service to the community. Provide flexibility with your operating hours to ensure we screen as many people as possible.

  3. Complete all CardiAction medical and operating training and maintain a high level of quality. This includes being organised utilising the booking system and in the marketing of the services.

  4. Uplift business by implementing good marketing ideas and efficient work streams.

  5. Support in conducting Screenings at other locations if required – e.g. providing screening onsite at businesses.

  6. The Health & Wellbeing Screener may, in consultation with HSNZ and the host pharmacy, introduce new services as appropriate to maximise their utility in rostered hours. 

 

Requirements:

  • Background in healthcare is desirable – e.g. natural health retail experience.

  • Nursing experience is preferable

  • Professional indemnity insurance

  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Experience with working in the community.

  • Working independently in a culturally competent way.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build loyalty with customers and team members alike.

  • Confident using a variety of IT platforms, including patient database, email, Zoom, etc.

  • Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.

  • Full NZ drivers’ licence and access to a vehicle for travel to screening sites.

Working hours: This role will require maximum of 30 hours per week. Hours are flexible and negotiable for the right candidate.
